What We Do
Building bridges within and between communities
About Us
Legacy Network was established on Ulster Day, 28th September 2024, with a clear vision: to build a peaceful, confident, and capable community in East Belfast and North Down.
We believe that culture is a powerful force for unity, pride, and progress. That’s why we advocate for a rights-based approach to cultural expression within the PUL community – one that promotes respect, responsibility, and reconciliation.
Why We Exist
Because we believe a strong community is built on shared understanding, mutual respect, and the celebration of what makes us unique.
Legacy Network is here to make that vision a reality – one project, one event, one connection at a time.
What We Do
We work across a range of programmes designed to empower people, celebrate culture, and strengthen community life.
Educating & Empowering Young People
We offer leadership programmes, cultural education initiatives, and OCN qualifications.
Through dynamic workshops, skills training, and educational trips, we equip young people with the confidence and tools they need to lead, grow, and make a difference.
Promoting Positive, Safe & Edifying Cultural Expression
We facilitate cultural awareness programmes, organise community festivals, and celebrate traditions such as the Ulster band scene and Ulster-Scots heritage.
Our work encourages positive expression that strengthens pride and brings people together.
Raising Awareness of History & Heritage
From guided museum tours to historical workshops and exhibitions, we help people connect with the past.
Our programmes preserve and share stories that have shaped our community, ensuring they are understood and valued for generations to come.
Supporting Conflict-Affected Adults
We provide training, volunteer opportunities, and capacity-building programmes for those impacted by the Northern Ireland conflict.
Our goal is to help people rebuild their lives, gain skills, and play an active, positive role in their community.
