The Somme Trail at Victoria Park
This July, take a walk through history with The Somme Trail in Victoria Park.
Featuring 10 informative boards, the trail tells the story of the 36th (Ulster) Division and their role in the Battle of the Somme. It’s a free, family-friendly activity with a children’s poppy hunt and a fun activity sheet to complete along the way. There will also be a walking group and guided tours on selected dates. Come along, explore the trail, and remember the bravery of those who served.
The Somme Trail officially opened on 29th June at Victoria Park. Below are some of pictures from the day. Special thanks to everyone involved.
